“I’ll leave you guys alone then, have fun.” With that Louis walked out, leaving Kevin and the guys alone.
Kevin turned to the guys, they were watching him some what sceptically. He shifted on the spot and grinned.

“Well, let’s see if I can get this right.”

He turned to Shane,

“Shane?” Shane nodded. Kian was next,

“Nicky?”

Kian shook his head, “Kian.”

“Right, Kian, that means you’re Nicky, and you’re Mark.”

He turned to Mark and felt his heart skip a beat. He was feeling some sort of vibe from Mark. That was interesting, was it possible that a member of Westlife was a closest case? And he had to admit, Mark was hot. Really intense blue eyes and a cheeky smile. He grinned at Mark, and turned to the rest of the guys.

“Okay, I guess I need to see what you can do, and we’ll work from there.”

Shane shifted and glanced around the group before speaking for everyone.

“It’s not much, only half a song really.”

Kevin nodded, “Well, lets see it then!”

Nicky jogged over to the CD player and loaded the correct CD. He found the right track and handed Kevin the remote, before lining up with the other guys. Kevin hit play and World of Our Own blasted out of the speakers and the boys began to dance.

Kevin didn’t mean to laugh, he really didn’t, but seriously, that couldn’t be called dancing! They were stiff as boards and the moves were all the same.
And poor Mark, he needed help. It was obvious that he was struggling to keep up and he was constantly glancing at the other guys, seeing what they were doing.
When the song was about half way through, they all stumbled to a stop and Kevin was almost beside himself with silent laughter.
Shane and Nicky both glared at him, Kian looked embarrassed and Mark was looking anywhere but at him.

“I’m sorry guys, but what was that?”

Shane continued to glare at him, “Dancing,”

Kevin shook his head, “That was not dancing.”

Nicky whirled on him, “Who the hell do you think you are anyway? You’re not even professionally trained in dancing!”

Kevin waited til Nicky finished his rant before replying, “I may not be professionally trained, but I have been dancing since I was very young, I know how to move. And trust me, that wasn’t dancing. My 60 year old grandmother could move better than that!”

Mark spoke for the first time and Kevin noticed how deep his voice was, and how soothing it sounded with his Irish accent.

“Well show us how to do it then!”

Thankfully Kevin had thought ahead and had spent the delays in London and then the plane flight over planning dances in his head, whilst listening to the music on his ipod. He had then had an hour from when Louis had deposited him here in the dance studio until the first of the guys had arrived and in that time he had managed to put together a routine, very basic, but a routine none the less, to World of Our Own

He nodded, “Okay then, World of Our Own from the beginning please.”
He got himself into starting position and as the music began, he started to move.

Kian, Nicky, Shane and Mark watched in amazement, Kevin could certainly move. And the steps themselves were relatively simple, it was the body, arm and head work that made it look good. His body twisted easily to the beat of the music and every now and then a pelvic thrust was chucked in, and even though it was more raunchy than what they were used to, they liked it.

Kian nudged Shane “I like it, imagine Westlife dancing like that. The girls would go nuts!”
Shane chuckled and nodded in agreement before poking Nicky in the ribs to see what he thought. Nicky smirked and nodded and the whole group turned to Mark.
He was watching Kevin with an intense look on his face and he looked a little confused. Regarding their conversation only an hour or so earlier, Kian had a pretty good idea what was going through his head.

“Mark?” Kian prodded him gently and Mark jumped and blushed. Kian gave a small smile, he had been right about what was going through Marks head.

“What do you think?”

Mark nodded, “Looks good.” and not just his dancing…

The song came to it’s conclusion and with one last fancy move, Kevin hit ‘stop’ on the CD player and turned to face the group, slightly out of breath.

“What do you think? It’s just a basis, we can change it.”

Shane glanced at everyone else and spoke again for the group,

“We like it!”

Kevin gave them a huge smile and Mark looked away, mentally scolding himself for his thoughts.

“Right, well, I guess we’ll start at the beginning and work out way through, and change the dance to suit you guys. It’s not too hard. I’ll get you to stand in a straight line, in hight order, tallest at this end. So that means you, Mark, go here…”

Kevin grabbed Mark’s arm and dragged him onto the dance floor and positioned him, before motioning to the other guys to do the same thing.

“Mark’s obviously the tallest, but I’m not sure about you guys, I’m afraid you’ll have to figure it out!”

After a few quick back to back measurements, Kian and Nicky took the middle two spots, with Shane on the end.

“Now, I’m just gonna show you some basic moves, without the music. You’ll find the rest, like the body movement and stuff, comes with time. The more confident you get with the moves and dancing, the better the moves flow. Now, starting position is this.”

Kevin stood with his legs spread ands on his hips. The guys copied him and Kevin instantly noticed how stiff Mark looked, before he even started.

“Mark! Relax, you’re dancing, not walking towards you’re execution.”

There was titters all round and Mark muttered something that sounded suspiciously like, “same thing.”

Kevin strode over to him and stood behind Mark. He put his hands on his shoulders and pushed down gently behind lightly shaking him.

“Relax!”

Mark gulped, there was little electric sparks running up and down his arms and on his shoulders where Kevin’s hands were resting and that coupled with Kevin’s gentle hands made him relax almost immediately. Maybe this dancing business wasn’t gonna be so bad after all.

“Relax! Good, now stay that relaxed and the dancing will be a lot easier.”

Mark gave a low chuckled, easy dancing and Mark did not go together.
Kevin removed his hands and moved back to the front of the group.

“Now, kick the left leg, kick the right, bring together, do the surfer-trying-to-stay-on his-board. It’s a body roll Mark, don’t look so confused…”

One hour later

“And thrust, thrust, thrust!”

The professional approach to the dancing had lasted all of 10 minutes and had turned into an hilarious hour of testing and learning new moves. After deciding they could actually move pretty well and could shake it when they really wanted, Kevin started to demand that they get their TPM (thrust per minute)* up.
Shortly after that, Kevin had made a surprising discovery – Westlife could thrust!

“That’s it Mark! You’ve got it! Thrust it boy!”

Mark collapsed on the floor in a fit of giggles, causing Kian to trip over him, Mark grabbed him and wrestled with him playfully, pretending that Kian had tripped over him on purpose. Shane dived on top of them followed closely by Nicky.

Kevin leant against the mirrors, chuckling at the sight of 4 grown men wrestling and crawling around the floor like 3 year olds. After awhile they ran out of steam and collapsed on the floor on their stomachs.
Shane look over at him and grinned lopsidedly,

“You know what guys? I reckon he’s gonna be alright.”

There was a loud, “Here! Here!” from the other 3 guys, before they all collapsed in another bout of giggles.
