Dublin, Ireland.

“And a 5, 6, 7 and 8.” Charlotte Ridge sighed in total frustration as Mark spun around a beat slower than everyone else.

“NO MARK! Swing on the 7 and land on the 8, not the way you’re doing it! What planet are you living on anyway! Concentrate, can’t you do anything right! Now take it from the top.”

Mark blushed to the roots of his hair, to embarrassed to do anything other than stare at the ground. If only he wasn’t so confused, if only someone would come along and help him understand what these feelings were. To help make the world make sense again
World of out Own blasted out of the speakers and the guys quickly lined themselves up, with Mark still standing and staring at the ground.

“For goodness sake, MARK! For once, will you do as you are asked? You can never seem to do anything right, get into line!”

Still blushing, Mark took his place next to Kian.

“And 1, 2 spin and 4. 5, 6 spin and…NO MARK!”

Mark felt like crying, he just didn’t understand the steps and was too proud to say so. The whole spin, and lift a leg and bring the other one across, all in a beat and a half was far to confusing.

“MARK, for the last time, will you listen! These steps aren’t that hard. Watch and learn”

Charlotte executed the steps in perfect fashion, so quickly that Mark was still non the wiser about what to do.

“Now, it’s you turn.”

Mark stood there and try to figure it all out and started into the turn, but his feet got tangled and he fell, hitting the ground with a ‘thump’. He rolled onto his back and lay there, hurt and humiliated, not bothering to get up.
Shane appeared beside him.

“Here there, you okay Mark? That was a nasty fall.”

Mark sat up and hung his head, so Shane wouldn’t see the tears.

“I’m fine.”

Shane opened his mouth to say something else, but was cut off by Charlotte.
“Seriously Mark, you can’t do anything right! A simple move, that’s all I want from you. But can you do it? No, of course you can’t!”

Kian cut her off angrily.

“Can’t you see, he needs help! And if you won’t let us help him, then why can’t you? It’s not doing anyone any good to have you constantly ranting at him. You’re our teacher, help him!”

Nicky and Shane murmured in agreement, they had all noticed Mark struggling with the routines, but were never allowed to help inside of dance hours. And anytime after dance, Mark wanted nothing to do with it.

Charlotte let out a sigh.
“You know what, I quit! I’m sick of this, day in, day out. Always the one person who lets the team down. Drives me up the wall!”

She pulled out her mobile phone, and hit a few buttons.
“Ah, hello, Louis. Charlotte here. Just you know to expect my letter of resignation on your desk by morning.” There was a pause as she listened to Louis’s rant on the other end of the phone.
“Yes, I know the world tour starts in 2 months time. But I’ve had enough! I’ll provide you with a number and name to ring with my resignation tomorrow. Maybe she’ll be able to help.”
With that, Charlotte turned on her heel and flounced out of the room.

SHOCK WESTLIFE EXIT!

Charlotte Ridge, choreographer for top boy band, Westlife, has quit her job of 5 years, teaching dance routines to Westlife. The exit of this vital piece of the Westlife team, has left the upcoming World Tour in doubt. The tour will only go ahead if Louis Walsh can find, and hire someone within the next week. Any longer than that and Westlife stand no chance of being able to go ahead with the tour.
Say’s band member, Shane Filan, “Dancing has become an important part of our concerts. We like to show we can do more than just sing. But, at the end of the day, we need time to learn these routines and know them well enough to pull them off without a hitch.”
When asked to comment, Charlotte refused, leaving us all to wonder just what happened between her and Westlife.

The phone ringing started Melinda Knox out of her daydream. She tossed The Daily Star onto the table, scarcely paying any attention to the screaming headline ‘Shock Westlife Exit.”

“Hello, Melinda speaking”

“Melinda, Louis Walsh here. I hope you don’t mind me ringing, but I’ve got a bit of a dilemma.”

“Not at all Mr. Walsh, what can I help you with?”

”Charlotte Ridge left me your number, when she quit and said you might be able to help. You see, I need a new choreographer for Westlife and I need one soon. So I was hoping that you might be able to help me out.

“I’m sorry Mr. Walsh, if you are asking me to be the new choreographer, then I can’t do it. I mean, I would love to, but I had an accident a couple of months ago and its left me with a weakened leg, which I can’t do any strenuous activity on.”

“I see, I’m sorry to have disturbe you Mrs. Knox.”

“Wait, hang on a second. I still maybe be able to help. One of the members of V, was really good at dancing, almost had to hold him down to keep him still. If you wanted I could ring him and have a word, and if he’s interested, then give him your number.”

“I’d appreciate that very much Mrs. Knox. My number is 8796 54216. Tell him to ring me, anytime. What’s his name?”

“Kevin, Kevin McDaid. I shall call him now. Thank you for the call Mr. Walsh.”

With that, she hung up the phone, and starting dialling a familiar number.

“Hello?”

“Kevin, it’s Melinda. Boy do I have a question for you.”
