Croke Park DVD On Its Way - Cast Your Votes!

It’s the news everyone’s been waiting for - the DVD of Westlife’s spectacular 10 year anniversary gig at Croke Park is coming your way in November!

10 Years of Westlife - Live at Croke Park will hit the shops on 24th November and promises to be a very special memento of one of the most important dates in the boys’ career so far.

As if that news wasn’t exciting enough, YOU can also have your say on what goes on the DVD extras! Ten of Westlife’s music videos will be included, and we want you, their fans, to choose which ones they should be.

Whether it’s 'World Of Our Own' that rocks your world, 'Flying Without Wings' that’s your number one or 'Home' that you think just has to be on there, make sure you cast your all-important vote for your top video.

Shane On TV This Weekend

If you’ve been missing seeing the boys on your TV screens while they’re on their break, you’ll be very pleased to hear that Shane will be appearing on X Factor this weekend!

He’ll be giving Louis Walsh a hand in selecting which of the groups will make it through to the live shows.

1967 - An aardvark was born at Miami Zoo. It was the first to be born in captivity in the west.

1987 - A survey of house prices showed that the average London house cost five and a half times the average annual salary.

2000 - Britney Spears and Westlife walked away with top awards from the Disney Channel Kids Awards.

2002 - European judges ruled that tips added to credit card receipts in restaurants did not have to be passed on to staff..

Mariah Carey The Ballads Compilation Album Coming Soon

Mariah Carey is to release an 18-track-compilation of her ballads, that will be the singer's sixteenth album to date.

Many of the star's best known songs can be found on 'The Ballads', including collaborations with Boyz II Men, Westlife, Luther Vandross and more.

One song - 'How Much' - was also recorded for her 1999 'Rainbow' album, but was not released as a single.

Carey releases the collection first in the UK on October 20 and then both Canada and the US will get the compilation in January 2009.

DVD Release Date

'KianNewbie' on the Official Westlife Message Boards contacted Scarlet Productions and they said that Westlife's new DVD will be out around Christmas. Which means it will still take some months... can't wait!

Council still waiting for €55k from Westlife concert

Stadium committee also out of pocket

THE Pearse Stadium Development Committee and Galway City Council have not yet been paid for the washout Westlife concert held in the Salthill venue last June, city councillors were told last night.

During a discussion on the concert, Director of Services for Planning, Tom Connell, admitted that they local authority has still not received the agreed €55,000 contribution from concert promoters for expediting the process for granting a licence.

He added that he was still “quite confident” the money would be paid, adding that the stadium committee had not been paid either.

Vote Westlife In The DMAs

In just over a month the music industry will gather together for the BT Digital Music Awards, the only awards dedicated entirely to digital music entertainment.

Westlife are in the running for the People's Choice Award, an award that gives you the chance to show your appreciation for the band and all their online activity.

Since the last awards westlife.com has had a big relaunch, with blogs from the boys, exclusive info, competitions and a whole lot more. However, the boys need your help to win.

To show your support for the band and add your vote just click HERE.

Voting closes on 25th September and the awards take place on 2nd October.
