I am gay, and I'm very proud of who I am.

Shane has a million watt mega smile that can light up the darkest room.
-
I don’t eat Sushi but Yo Sushi! do amazing chicken and beef which is lovely. If you’re really hungry, you can go in there and two seconds after you sit down, you’re eating. Japanese food and anything cooked by my mum or Kev is always perfect.
-
Well, lots of presents for Kev as it was Christmas, our anniversary, Valentine’s and his birthday all within days of each other, so he’s been spoilt lately. And about five pairs of trainers the other day for myself – and I don’t even like shopping! (question: What’s the last thing you bought?)
-
We met at a charity gig in Dublin. Neither of us was publicly gay at the time and we didn’t know that each other was gay. It was really funny. We just connected and have excellent chemistry.
-
I’ve been with my partner Kevin for a year and a half. I’d spent so long wishing I was in this situation and that I had somebody but for loads of different reasons it wasn’t feasible. Then, finally I found someone. So since coming out, it’s been the best year of my life. Ever. I don’t mean to sound soppy but it’s true.
-
I want to see Casino Royal. I used to watch James Bond films after my bath every Saturday night as a kid. They seem to have got the casting on the ball with Daniel Graig. I couldn’t say I fancy him, though, as I’ve never met him. Kevin’s more my type.
-
Yeah it’s definitely a serious relationship, It’s full on love and it’s great...It’s the icing on the cake for me to be in a relationship, to be happy and to have somebody there to go home too. I have always longed for it and now I have it
-
Being in love with someone and in a relationship was something I craved and really wanted. I’ve had that for the past two years and it’s been the most positive change I’ve ever experienced. He’s absolutely wonderful. He lives with me in my apartment and I love him very much.
-
I’m in love with my boyfriend Kevin McDaid. He’s wonderful – and gave me a reality check on lots of subjects.
-
He is just a missing piece of me that I haven’t had for so long and something I always longed to have and now I have it
-
Anything cooked by my mum or Kev is always perfect.
-
You can have everything else in the world but if you're not happy it means nothing.
-
Meeting him is the best thing that has ever happened to me. We are very happy.
-
Im very lucky because Kevin is beautiful, makes me laugh and has an amazing personality too.
-
To Kevin earlier this morning on the phone. (question: Who was the last person you said "I love you" to?)
-
All I know is that I'm happy when I go to sleep at night with Kevin, and I'm happy when I wake up in the morning.
-
We always tell each other that we love each other.
-
I don't want to grow old, particularly, but I want to do it with Kevin.
-
I trusted him from the moment I met him.
-
The most romantic thing anyone's ever done for me… was when my partner, Kevin, got me a massive chocolate chip cookie with "Happy birthday" engraved on it. We were in California and he popped out to the local mall to get it made for me.
-
My best friend is… Kevin, and also a lad back home in Ireland who I've known since I was at school.
-
I think deep down most of us would like someone special to go through life with.
-
We’ll be sitting there bickering all day long. I won’t be able to get up out of my chair and I’m going to have to rely on people wheeling me around. (question: What do you think you’ll be like as old men?)
-
I'd like to say hello to my boyfriend Kevin who I love very much. (At a Westlife concert during the Back Home Tour)
-
Someone else very, very special to me, and I'm very proud to say, is my other half, my boyfriend Kevin McDaid. I love you babe. (At Westlife's 10th anniversary concert at Croke Park)
-
He had come out very early on in his life and I admired the pride and courage he possessed; I loved that in him.
-
Meeting Kevin has been so good for me because not only did I have a boyfriend, someone to have a relationship with, but I'd also met my new best friend.
-
But very quickly, my growing feelings for Kevin became the catalyst for me to come out. I had fallen in love with someone I wanted to share everything with, learn from, be around, just be my other half, and yet I was 'supposed' to not tell anyone. I was in heaven but only in secret.
-
I don't call Kevin my partner for instance, like so many people do. He's my boyfriend. If you're a straight man, you introduce someone to your girlfriend. Why should a gay man be any different? Why say my 'partner'? Last time I checked, I don't run a business with him.
-
My boyfriend Kevin likes making cards for me. He's very artistic and creative.
-
That impenetrable shell I'd put up around me - against coming out, against the music business, against anything that might steal me away from my beautiful life back in Ireland - had been rock solid, but Kevin dismantled it in seconds, to be honest.
-
They knew how much it meant to me to be with someone, so they couldn't wait to meet Kevin, and when they did, they loved him and got on like a house on fire. (On the rest of the Westlife lads meeting Kevin)
